The small-sized VALANT™ Single-board RTU provides advanced telemetry and control functions for SCADA (Supervisory, Control, and Data Acquisition) systems.

Status changes on the eight digital inputs are automatically tallied to separate 16-bit registers which allow these inputs to provide interscan change counts or function as low speed pulse accumulators. The unit's firmware is tailored by ADC per requirements to provide protocol support and other real-time routines for process automation. Configuration data is stored in a non-volatile EEPROM memory.

Two ports are available for dedicated communications to a host station computer, a Master Station, and/or dial-up computer. The unit's data can also be accessed on-site with a portable personal computer.
