ADC - 16DI I/O Card

I/O CARD

Look at picture of the I/O card.

This COMMANDER I/O function card interfaces 16 digital input signals to a companion Base/Expansion cardfile assembly.

Signals may be either logic common, +DC, or AC in nature, and are fully isolated. Signals greater than 24V require conditioning before presentation to the I/O card input terminal. These inputs can also be used to process low-speed pulsing signals as well as certain encoding signals.

COMMON INPUT VALUES

Higher voltage levels may be found for indication signals. This is accommodated by adding an external voltage dropping resistor in series with the plus terminal of the card. The nominal resistor values for various voltage levels are:

SIGNAL R-VAL ADD'L.

                          SPECS

48VDC 6.8K CC 5% 1/4W

125VDC 22K CC 5% 1W

120VAC 22K CC 5% 1W

240VAC 44K CC 5% 2W

Use of the Universal Termination Assembly, or equivalent, is recommended when status signals exceed 48V.
